I hate it when this happens! I’m rolling along in a story and all of a sudden the characters I thought I knew so well just get up and leave. Walk out the door. Exit stage left. Vamoose. Gone-gone.:( What’s up with that?
Today I’m finding them and dragging them back. In case they haven’t heard, I’ve got a deadline and if they don’t cooperate and I don’t write forward — it’s not pretty for any of us. I’m late and they’re stuck in story angst. (u)
Am I the only one this ever happens to? Fess up. Neurotic misery loves company.
My people typically do this. Bribe them with sex, Jen. They’ll come back for that. :p

Um, I like Rhonda’s suggestion of promising your characters a little nookie.
I’m in the same boat right now. My characters are not talking to me, I think I made them mad. I’m not published yet, but I have my own self-imposed deadline & I’m starting to panic! I need a Word Mistress too!

If you find out how to get them back, Please spread the word. I tried the promise of sex, but that didn’t work…and really, it should.
I mean, If I ran away, and was promised sex with th hero I’d go back. :$
