Today is the Girl’s fifth grade field trip. We’re leaving at 8 a.m. this morning on chartered buses to spend the day in Chattanooga. We’ll take in an IMAX movie, the aquarium, a riverboat cruise with a picnic lunch, and last, but not least, we’ll see Rock City before heading home. Girl was so excited last night she couldn’t get to sleep.
It cracks me up because all the kids are bringing Game Boys and ipods. I told Girl I totally didn’t get this because they’re not allowed to talk to one another in school during class so now when they have the opportunity to gab they all want to have their noses stuck in a Game Boy with ipod headphones on. Wouldn’t you just want to talk to your friends? I’ll shed the same light on it for you that Girl shed for me. “It’s the way we are, Mom.” Alrighty then. (i) Have you got that?

If all the kids have their nose in a Gameboy or are tuned in to an ipod… maybe it will be a somewhat quiet busride. Hope spring eternal.
Have a great time!

My son does this - and stuff always comes back a little worse for the wear. They all trade off, swap games, music, etc. It’s still pretty noisy. Silly kids.

Great trip!! And it was relatively quiet. They sort of share the games and the music and it all worked. (y) :)
