Chris…gone?

So did the whole Idol-watching world have a couple of WTF moments last night or what? The first when Catherine and Chris were deemed the bottom-feeder club, but the grandaddy of them all when Chris got the boot. :o

Really, it’s too bad. It’s not that I’m a huge Chris fan. All told, I like the quirky Elliott because quirky has always appealled to me — plus, if you close your eyes and LISTEN, I think he has the best voice. And how could you not appreciate Taylor’s downhome bonhomie…except he does (okay I’m ducking now) sometimes come across as a karaoke contender. And Catherine’s hair-tossing cuteness annoys me. You’ve got to be able to sing girl with some measure of consistency and talent. All that said, IMO, Chris is the only one who wouldn’t be chewed up and spit out by the demands and the lifestyle.

Maybe it means I just need to get a life…but I’ll be tuned in next Wednesday night for sure.

  1. I’m a true Chris fan, and was seriously disappointed. I don’t care who wins now. But hey it’s just a populatiry contest at this point. I think he has the best chance to be picked up for a record deal and wish him the best. Of course, I’m a tad bit biased since I’m from NC and this is the 3 contestant out of the top 10 from NC to go home. Yuck! :(

  2. Madison, that’s the same thing my daughter said last night. She said she thinks he’s the one most likely to walk away with an recording contract outside of the winner and I think that’s true. What I was trying to stumble through is that I think Chris is a total package. I think this means NC must grow star quality talent. :)

  3. I was shocked about Chris :o , to say the least. He has such a beautiful smile. I believe Chris will get a record contract with no problem, it’s just a matter of who gets to him first. I figured Catherine would be gone with her performance, even though I have liked her singing previously. And what can I say about Taylor, hometown boy that he is, yes we here in Alabama have had several in the top. I like that Taylor is so free spirited with his dancing and doesn’t appear to let too much hold him back. :p Go SOUL PATROL. I will be glued to the tv next week also.

  5. Yeah, Jennifer, he actually from Virginia originally but he’s got the soul of a true southern gentleman, at least I personally think. He’s someone you’d speak to on the street and he’d tip his hat to you in response. I can’t wait to see what comes out from him next.

    We grow’em right down here!
