Simple, Yet Perfect

Whew! I know I’ve been awol. Crazy. End of school party. Memorial day week-end. But it’s all good. Well, except for the problem with our broadband for the last two days that kept me off-line. That wasn’t good. :[

Last night we had a simple, yet perfect, dinner. Earlier Girl and I had stopped by the vegtable stand and bought a basket of gorgeous red tomatoes. Dinner last evening: crisp, thick-sliced bacon, crunchy iceburg lettuce, and thick slices of tomato with fresh-ground sea salt and pepper between toasted whole-grain bread with a smear of mayonnaise washed down with a Sweetwater 420 pale ale in a frosted mug.

Perfect.(y)

  3. Oh, dear God, Jen, you’ve got me salivating. :p

    I haven’t had a good BLT in ages… I wonder if we’ve got bacon in the fridge…? :)

  4. Ellen and Kim, it was beyond good! Kris, you definitely need that Sweetwater 420 to complete the taste experience. It’s a microbrewery here…we’ll have to toast next month at National.

  5. I’m not much of a beer drinker, but I’ll try just about anything once.

And your sandwich post so inspired me that I went to the store yesterday and bought bacon specifically to make my own BLT, too! LOL
