Optimism or Idiocy

I can’t decide if I’m an optimist or an idiot.

I chronically underestimate how long it will take me to do something like finish this book and send it to my poor beleaguered editor this morning. The book’s not done. I’ve worked all week-end, except for the guilt viewing of Queen Latifah’s Last Holiday (you, know, the DH and The Girl giving me the eye and saying, why don’t you watch this with us) and it’s still not done. And really, the movie didn’t make that much difference. Neither did the shower I finally took this morning.:o Well, that’s to say it made a huge difference to those around me, but not to typing THE END.

Anyone else out there who underestimates/overbooks and then winds up with their back against an ugly wall?:(

  2. Sometimes, but I really try to give myself extra time just in case I have a professor who thinks everything she needs doing will take “just 30 minutes”, yeah right :s So, how did you like “Last Holiday”? I enjoyed it, watched the latest Harry Potter movie this weekend, enjoyed. Good luck with your writing and I’ll say a little prayer for you on this. Have a great Monday 8)

  4. Hi Rhonda and Kim. Ginger, I thought Last Holiday was okay. Couldn’t quite put my finger on what, but something fell flat in it for me. BTW, who was the kid that lived with her? I never knew and she just left him there when she went on her spree.
