The Other Side of Writing

Yesterday I spent a couple of hours on the other side of writing. Anna Adams, very talented SuperRomance author, and I got together for a late breakfast. She just moved back to Georgia from Texas and it was the first time we’ve seen each other in a little over two years. Of course we had to yammer about what we’re working on what we want to work on and how to tweak the stories. (c):)

Then we spent about about three and a half hours shopping for basket stuff and putting them together. We’re both going to the Reader’s Luncheon in Atlanta on Saturday and we have to put together a basket to be given away. It’s sort of challenging to put together a basket for someone when you have no idea who’s going to get it. I’m rather pleased with how mine turned out. Contents include three autographed books, a 2007/2008 planner, magnetized note pad, coffee cup, journal, small steno pad, Lindt chocolate, small bottle of merlot, small bottle of pinot grigio, two wine glasses, a lovely little organza bag, photo frame, a candle, etched glass candle holder, and some other little odds and ends in a hinged sunflower box with a handle (hence the sunflower I’ve perched next to the ribbon). Hope whomever gets it, likes it.

  1. Pretty!!! And I didn’t realize that was Anna you were with yesterday when I called with my crisis. :o I thought you said *Hannah.* I wondered why she wasn’t in school, but since you were shopping I figured she was okay….

So a belated hi to Anna!

  5. So beautiful, Jen! Could you print out the description for later use? That was the most fun I’ve ever had putting together a basket, and mine only looks as good as yours because you assembled it! My beloved saw it and said, “I thought you were making your own basket.” I must have been sporting plenty of moral fiber today because I admitted you made it. (y)

Hi, Rhonda! Nice to see you by phone yesterday! :)

  6. I’m a bad blog reader of late, but had to stop by when I saw wine. LOL!

Looks great, I’m sure whoever wins will be thrilled! (And tipsy! LOL! You mail to California, yes?)

    Smooches,
    Dee

  7. Thanks! I’ve got to learn to adjust the photos to bigger cause you just can’t see it good enough — it looks better in person. :)

LOL, Anna, it’s the bows. Anna and I had the lady at Michael’s make our bows and then we just attached them. (i)

Dee, too funny that the wine caught your eye. I could mail to California but you have to be present to win, so you may as well take it back on the plane with you. :p
