Bond…James Bond

For the first time since Sean Connery stepped down, I’m looking forward to a James Bond movie. I..um…have quite a thing for Daniel Craig.

The advertisement for the film came on t.v. the other night. The DH got the cat-hiney look (ya know, that look when the cat walks on you and turns around and you’ve got a cat hiney stuck in your face).

DH: That’s the new James Bond? That guy?

Girl: Daddy, he’s good looking. (I’ve trained Girl well).

DH: Him?

Me: (pattting DH’s arm) He’s hot, honey.

DH: The one that was just on t.v.

Me: Yep. Very hot.

DH just shakes his head.

I think I’ll have to treat myself to the matinee — ALONE — when it comes to the theatre near me.

So, who’s your favorite Bond?

  3. I’m just curious to see this one because the movie’s supposed to be much more erotic than previous Bonds… Heh.

And that’s the plan this Saturday — Sushi and James. I’m giddy with anticipation. :cooldance:

  4. Kim, I can leave the gambling but I’m all for the men.

Barbara, yep, Antonio is sizzlin’.

Kris, I hadn’t heard the erotic bit. Done. I’m there! And the sushi sounds good too.

  5. LOL, it’s not that I don’t like Daniel Craig—and is it me or did he beef up for this?? Good googly moogly!—but I can fill you in on hubby’s confusion. He don’t look a thing like Bond is supposed to look. Bond wasn’t beefy & wasn’t blonde. But people freaked out when Roger Moore was Bond, too, and he lasted the longest. Pierce was the epitome of Bond. But I’ll be willing to accept Craig if he can get me past the fact that “M” has no business being in Bond’s origin. Love Judi Dench, but at that time, M was a man, baby! LOL!

  6. Dee, funny but I’ve been reading and yes, apparently Bond was dark and M was a man. That said, apparently this is closer to what Fleming envisioned as this Bond eschews the gadgetery and is something of a wildcard. Friday while the rest of the world is Christmas shopping, I’ll be at B&N buying the first three Ian Flemming novels. :cooldance:
