Guess what the DH and I did on Friday night while Girl was at a birthday party? No. Not that. We actually went to see an R rated movie. No PG or PG13. Good old sex, violence, and bad language R.
I had plenty to do — Christmas shopping, gift wrapping, pecan pies to bake, and I needed to pack for a weekend trip, but hey, sometimes you’ve got to stop and watch the R movies when you can.:happy2:
The Departed with Nicholson, DiCaprio, and Damon. Not a lot of sex, but plenty of violence and bad language.
The DH thought it was too long and slow at the onset. Not me. The pacing felt right. I really liked it. And I’ve never been much of a DiCaprio fan but Leo has grown up. Quite nicely. Wow!
Have you sneaked out or stolen a break from the season’’s madness?

I’m impressed. I think the last movie I saw at a theater was March of the Penguins. Sigh.
Thank goodness for Netflix or I’d never get to watch anything.

Well, my sneak from the madness and this cold that I appear to have is picking up a book to read.
Have a wonderful Thursday.

We don’t have to sneak anymore since our nest is empty now. But we did take a break from the Christmas madness to see Casino Royale last Sunday. Oh dear Lord, Daniel Craig is something else!
In a reversal, the DH and I watched March of the Penguins when it debuted on TV last month. We loved it!

Kimberly, LOL, it was probably the first R-rated movie in ages, well, except when I went by myself to see The Libertine (very disturbing).
Ginger, you poor thing with a cold. Enjoy your book.
Marilyn, sign me up for the Daniel Craig fan watch. That man is gorgeous and I loved that movie!!
Kim, Leo is definitely hot! Uh-huh. :cooldance:

Oh yeah. I took a break from the madness …and quit my job!
I am hoping for the best holiday season, ever!
Next Wednesday I have a half-day scheduled at the spa - a gift my DH gave me last Xmas! :cocktail:  I guess I need to schedule a good movie, too, since it’s been forever!!

Ellen, now that’s a break — dumping the job. :happy2: Enjoy the massage and might I recommend Casino Royale for your movie? :cooldance:
