Name Poems

Girl did a name poem for me during Spring Break last week. I think these are most fun when someone else does your name. Of course, it’s fairly interesting to do your own (although that borders on something you might want to do during therapy) — how others perceive you versus self-perception.

J-Joyful
E-Energetic
N-Noisy
N-Nosey (I prefer “curious” — sounds better but doesn’t start with a “n”
I-Impressive
F-Fun
E-Enormous…compared to an ant (Girl was crusin’ for a bruisin’
R-Runner

Here’s a name poem she did last year that I keep on my bulletin board:

J-Jabbers too much
E-Enjoys reading
N-Nature loves her
N-Nags me a lot
I-Is very caring
F-Feels good about her
E-Every day is good
R-Respects herself

Anyone else noticing a consistent theme from last year to this year like the mouthy part? What can I say? I guess I have to own it.:thankyou:

  1. Oh, I’d be scared to think what AC would come up with…

One of my friends did one of those email things where she asked everyone for the one word they would use to describe her.

Another door I’m just not going to open…with the crowd I hang with, there’s just no reason to tempt them…

  2. Kimberly. I think you should buy a pitcher of margaritas and when it’s gone ask those friends for the one-worder. :happy2:

  3. LOL! Maybe her vocabulary is growing, or she is just having a better day/week compared to last time… Don’t take it to heart…

I love the ‘Nature loves her.’ and that you are a ‘Runner.’ Many of these are very accurate, Jen…
(I do not agree with all of them, though… but I don’t live with ya!) :happy2:

  4. I resemble that “crowd I hang with” remark. Are you insinuating we’d be ugly?

Uh oh… the rain just hit here. Maybe it’ll move through quickly.

  5. I resent the fact that you think we’d be unkind, Kimberly! We should all just start sending you words that describe you without you soliciting them…

  6. Ellen, I’ve got to tell you, I’m not wild about the Enormous. I threatened her on that one. :fryingpan:

Hey, Marilyn and Andrea, I’m going to really meet you gals in a couple of weeks for some actual face time. Perhaps I should taunt Kimberly with giving her a one-worder when I leave…even if she doesn’t want it. Bwahahahaha.

  7. I’m looking forward to seeing you. I met you for like 2 seconds during the Blaze party last year, but I don’t make good first impressions. I’ll be much more interesting this time.

  8. Too funny, I wouldn’t give my son the chance to do that for me. Too scary… 8O .

  9. Andrea, I was a disaster at the Blaze party. Something upsetting had happened before the party and I think I was there for about 3 minutes when I realized I had to leave or I was going to burst into tears in the middle of all of those people. I elected to leave. Uh, to say I wasn’t at my level best that day is a gross understatement. I didn’t even manage to make it to the elevators before I was boo-hooing.

Come on, Ginger!! Live on the edge. Let your kid have a go at it. :happy2:
