Girl came home yesterday from her second day of basketball camp with either a broken nose or a severely banged one. She took an elbow hard to the nose during a drill becuase the other girl wasn’t doing it properly.:cursing: It’s not canting left or right but it’s got the bump and it’s swollen off to the side and under one eye.
Apparently it bled for half an hour and then she got back out there and played without crying.
She’s back at camp this morning.

Girl must have that same gene you have where you’re willing to suffer pain for a sport. I, alas, am willing to suffer pain for very few things, least of all sports…

LOL, Andrea! She does in fact possess that gene — it’s a rogue one, seeing as how she didn’t get it from me.

Go, little girl, go. Me, not happening. I’m a sissy in regards to pain, of any kind.

Girl is tough. I  to the Girl.

Get it checked because you never know when the septum might be deviated, which will cause problems down the road. And do it soon because if surgery is required, it’s easier done right after the injury. Both my boys had something similar happen and both had to have their noses set.

LOL, I’ll have to tell her that everyone lauds her as not being a weinie. :thankyou:
Ack. Okay, Marilyn, I guess I’ll get her in to have it checked out although it looks nice and straight still.

Girl is definitely much tougher than me… I am super weenie!
Marilyn has to come in and play Mom sometimes. (I say to the woman who kept trying to get me to eat and/or sit down at the luncheon!)

That’s Marilyn for you! She’s always watching out for us and making sure we take care of things.
And she’s a font of information. We all have little ones and hers are grown.
Hugs to the girl! I’m definitely a weenie, but I watched my husband go through all that basketball stuff. Has she had to do jump box drills yet?

LOL, Kimberly, I don’t do the mom thing often — even with my own. Be flattered.
Danniele, I’ll have to ask her. I know they were doing some crab shuffle thing sideways with their hands on the floor. Ouch.
