Shopping

I’m not big on shopping. I particularly HATE going to the mall. This weekend I discovered a beautiful way to shop. Outlet mall. Truly. A beautiful thing. In an hour and a half we visited five stores and did some great back-to-school shopping for girl. Fast and efficient.

Then I dumped her with her father and did the shopping I LIKE. Kitchen stuff. I was pathetically happy tracking down an egg slicer and a clay roaster.

  1. I love going into the kitchen gadget store, too. Things are always so handy.

  2. My mom’s a kitchen gadget freak so I get kitchen gadgets for my birthday and Christmas.

I hate shopping too. Once I find something I like and fits, I buy one in every color. Makes life easy.

  3. I love the outlet mall. It makes me feel thrifty, and therefore less guilty about the money I spend.

I’m not so much for the gadgets (that would be my mom’s area), but I do have the “dish gene.” I love dishes!

  4. My mom lives up the street from an outlet mall. Hubby just LOVES visiting her. I’m a cleaning gadget girl. Anything that scrubs for me is the most tempting item of all.

  5. Rhonda, I always look for the one that I consider over the top even for me. Yesterday it was a banana peeler. Uh…I never need help peeling a banana. :happy2:

Marilyn, I’ve done that — one in each color. I’m not so much for clothes shopping.

Kimberly, the dish room was one of my faves at Biltmore House. They had an entire room where they stored the different dishes. I :love2: dishes too.

Dee that’s SWEET that there’s one nearby. However, I’m not so big on cleaning cause I’ve yet to find any cleaning thing that I didn’t ultimately have to be behind. :happy2:

  6. I like shopping, especially grocery shopping. I can get a big thrill out of $50 of groceries for 1/3 or less. And I love a bargain anytime.

  8. Ginger, we went to a sort of gourmet farmers market today. It was WONDERFUL.

Rhonda, it’s a rectangular clay dish that you can cook in . It’s great for chicken, veggies, lots of stuff.
