…whether I would like it or not, but the fam went to see Transformers last night and I actually liked it. Some of the fight scenes went on a tad long but the computer generated graphics were incredible, I’m not a big Camaro fan but the new Camaro is bad-ass, I love Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel is easy on the eyes, and I loved the chihuahua.:cooldance:
Anybody see any good movies this weekend? If you saw Harry Potter, DO NOT give it away because I haven’t seen it yet.:bat:

I haven’t seen any. However, my brother saw Transformers & HP, enjoyed both. My sister along with my niece & nephew saw HP and enjoyed it. Happy Monday morning to you.

They aren’t new, but the DH taped “The Queen” and “Dreamgirls” off Pay Per View and both are excellent. Jennifer Hudson was absolutely awesome in “Dreamgirls” and I know why she won the Oscar.
Conference was great but there’s the inevitable catching up. And I have a lot of it to do.
First we start with caffeine.

Happy Monday to you too, Ginger! I think we’ll catch HP later this week.
Glad you had a good conference, Marilyn. Caffeine is VERY important. And I still haven’t seen either The Queen or DreamGirls.

I’m still working my way through the backlog of movies on NetFlix. Although I have now seen 2 of the three Pirates movies, so I can contribute to that conversation.
You would have had to have dragged me kicking and screaming to the Transformer movie…DG liked it though.

I slept through at least one animated Transformers when my boy was a–boy. I’m not sure I’ll see this version in the theater. However, I did see Live Free or Die Hard–and loved it! I love Bruce in anything (although we still watch DVDs of his appearance on Mad About You and that may be my fave Bruce Willis moment!) And Justin Long is such a cutie! (Also, great character arc for Justin!)
The girlo saw HP and said it was the best one yet. I think she’s taking pity on me later this week and seeing it again with me. (Natch, she went with friends, first!)
Loveya!

Kimberly, I can’t see Transformers being your kind of movie. And I must hurry before it leaves the big screen because I was knee-deep in a deadline and missed Pirates III when it first came out. Must see Johnny on the big screen. :cooldance:
Anna, LOL, much like Kimberly, I can’t see Transformers being your kind of movie either. But…uh, I didn’t peg you for a Die Hard fan either. 8O
Hey, wazzup with your girl checking out HP ahead of you? :fryingpan:

I saw Harry this weekend. It ROCKED!
I don’t think Transformers would be my thing.

Jen, I was taken aback at the girl’s evil choice, myself. Your sweetie wouldn’t do that to you, would she?
And re: Bruce–I love action flicks! In fact, I’ve been going through spy movies in the wee hours, from The Bourne Identity to 7 Days of the Condor to Breach and The Odessa File. I love ‘em!

Rhonda, I think we’ll see HP this afternoon. The deal was when Girl finished her second summer book report, we could go to Harry. She’s got two more paragraphs and it’s a wrap. :cooldance:
Hey Anna, have you seen Syriana or The Good Sheppard (sp?)?
Comment by Jennifer — July 17, 2007 @ 6:55 am
Hmm, so after saying I love action movies, Syriana was just too violent for me, though I thought I’d try it again. And I didn’t actually get The Good Shephard. I know it was because Matt Damon was so flat-affect in it. I’d like to know why either he or the director made that choice. John Torturro (sp.) was amazing, as usual!
A.

I haven’t seen either one but they’re both on my When-I’m-In-The-Mood List.
