Kimberly, the dogs wouldn’t eat my beer battered fish fingers either. Unbeknowst to me at the time, Girl tried. :happy2:

Ah, Cole, I remember it well. At the dinnertable the dh informed me, “The chicken’s a little dry.” I pointed out that his comment bordered on rude, boorish behaviour and obviously my mother had raised me better than his had raised him. I pointed out that I was raised to understand that when someone took the time to prepare a meal, the ONLY acceptable response was to eat it and thank them for preparing it. He has been a changed man from that night forward. :thankyou:

Yeah, my mom and I made a batch of fudge one year that was so bad the dog wouldn’t even eat it :happy2:

It’s a good fudge recipe, though.

I like the idea of a “Cooking Disaster Day.” I’ve never claimed to be a good cook, but I do have a few, really good, recipes. However, I do not have a recipe for gravy and that is how “Surprise Gravy” came into being. :oops:

We tried that, Kira, but one can only eat so much of canned beans with weinies chopped up in it or spaghetti. :wallbash:

Kimberly, do you have a little bell beside the couch that you ring? :twisted:

We should have “Cooking Disaster Day” where we all share our worst kitchen stories. Mine involved cayenne pepper.
