Driving home from school yesterday:
Me: So, this heroine I’m writing now…her name is Holly.
Girl: Yeah. That’s a nice name.
Me: Uh-huh. Her mother wanted to name her children after seasonal things when they were born and she was born in December around Christmas. She says she thinks she’s lucky her mother didn’t name her Hohoho.
Girl squeals and laughs: Mom! She sounds like you! That’s something you’d say.
Me: Well, I am writing this book.:thankyou: So, you wanna know her brother’s name?
Girl: Sure. Go ahead.
Me: Buck — cause he was born on the opening day of deer season.
Girl: That’s so…random. Where do you come up with this stuff? How do you come up with this stuff?
Me: I dunno. It just pops into my head.
Girl: (shaking her head) And the amazing part is you get paid to do it.
 Well, there is that.
(Pssst. Hey, have you heard? It’s a switcheroo. The amazing Julie Leto is Queen for a Day over at Soapbox Queens and our own Rhonda Nelson is ablog over at the Plotmonkeys. Check’em out!)

:happy2: Too funny. That’s how some of my cooking comes about, just pops into the noggin. I made vegetable soup last night and I chopped up some meatballs & shredded up some cooked chicken in it. I can’t wait for lunch today. Have a wonderful hump day Wednesday.

Can I borrow some of that random genius?

:happy2: Too funny! Buck.

Kimberly, alas, more inspiration than actual genius…and “random” would be the frustrating part.
, Rhonda. Girl laughed too.
