Ginger, that sounds like such fun! I can hear the high school band on Friday nights if I sit on my front porch.

LOL, I think the hand holding and arm across them is just the mommy instinct. I discovered my intolerance for rides when Girl was a wee thing and I rode the carousel with her and nearly tossed my last meal. A carousel for Pete’s sake.

Kathy, I’m not so sure dramamine could help at this point.

Melted Milky Way Bars? OMG. Yep, you just crossed the line, Kimberly.

Marshmallows have no fat. Sure, they’re sugary, but everyone puts sugar on Rice Krispies, right?

Bowl of cereal to go, I say. And far tastier.

Now, if you let my MIL make them…not so much. She uses melted Milky Way bars. Yummy, but a girl has to have some breakfast standards, you know.

I’m glad you had a great time at the fair, Jenn! The DH and I haven’t been in such a long time but the kids went a few weekends ago.

Dramamine is a must if I’m going to ride the rides. Thank God for it’s invention. It sure beats the alternative.

I love the fair! DH and I took the girls last Friday. They had a blast - despite the power going off halfway through. At least they weren’t stuck on a ride like some people.

And I agree with you about the rides! I used to be able to take anything - upside down, loop-the-loop, backwards. But watching both my girls twirl around and around made my stomach churn. And don’t get me started about Disney World! Last time we went Sweet Pea was tall enough to ride some of the roller coasters. I used to love those things. I spent the whole ride holding onto her hand for dear life so she wouldn’t fall out. Like that worked better than the industrial strength bar and harness she had on.

Sounds like you all had a fun time. We do have to take time out of our schedules for these moments. Last week I went to 2 high school football games where 2 of my nephews played in each. One was a junior varsity and the other was high school. What fun to see my nephews and spend time with 2 different sisters and their kids. I hope you have a terrific Thursday.
