I’ve always been a rise-n-shine kind of gal. Morning — early morning — is my favorite time of day. I open my eyes, look at the clock and pop up out of bed. I’m up and making a small pot of tea, turning out the dogs, firing up the computer, making lunches, getting ready for the day.
That was then. Now, I wake up, look at the clock, and think “I could just lay here for another few minutes” which then somehow becomes half an hour. I’m not going back to sleep. I’m just luxuriating in laying in bed and it’s all Eddie’s fault. And no, the DH isn’t named Eddie.
I’m talking about Eddie Bauer. I bought his flannel sheets last year at the end of the season. People, they are one step beyond flannel. Some flannel feels thick and coarse and begins to pill up. Not Eddie’s. It is sublime. I’ve taken to laying in bed to the very last minute simply because the bed and sheets feel so heavenly. Eddie has turned me into a morning slacker. It’s all his fault.
Aren’t they lovely? This is the duvet and shams. It’s also the sheets but mine happen to be red.

How luxurious, Jen! I love Eddie Bauer products and flannel sheets. You’ve reminded me that I need to pick up some for our bed. The kids have them but we don’t. Guess I never got around to buying some.
I used to spring out of bed too but I spend a few extra minutes in bed nowadays.
I set the alarm clock 10 minutes ahead so that when I press the snooze button, I trick myself into thinking I’m really sleeping in a little longer than I need to. DH doesn’t understand it and hates it but he has grown to see my logic.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Very pretty, and lately I’ve been hitting the snooze button at least once, this morning however, 2 times, badddd me.
. Happy Thanksgiving to your family.

Very pretty. I love good linen, but I’ll pass on the flannel sheets. (We have a duvet from Scotland that you could roast a turkey under, plus the DG puts out major BTUs all night. If we had flannel sheets, out bed would be a sauna).
But I love that duvet cover!

Ah, Kathy, you need to pick some up for your bed.
LOL, at the snooze Kathy and Ginger. I don’t do the snooze button. It makes me crazy. I’ve threatened to kill my nephew who lives with us over his use of the snooze.
Sounds like your bed is plenty
without the flannel, Kimberly.
