Yay! My hairdresser is back from maternity leave and I’ve got an appointment this afternoon.
My hair is too long–I’m in serious danger of sporting a mullet — and the wrong color. I don’t know exactly what color it’ll be this afternoon, but it won’t be this color.
Platinum has been floating in the back of my head but I think that’s too high-maintenance and I think I have the wrong skin tone to carry platinum, but maybe I’ll check with my girl. I’ve never done platinum.
UPDATE
Here’s the new cut and color

Great feeling is it not? Just the anticipation of a new hair color, and little trimming and ta-da a new you. Congradulations!!!

Ohhh, fun. I love going to the salon…I never know who I’ll be when I come back out.
Surely not all-over platinum? I like your highlights…

There’s nothing like the great feeling of a new haircut. Enjoy!

Ginger, 4 o’clock can’t come soon enough.
LOL, Kimberly, I’m never sure who I’ll be when I’m done either. I’m pretty sure my girl is gonna put the kabosh on platinum but I’m not sure how you’d highlight platinum. But she’s a music chick (writes music and lyrics and sings back-up) and she gives me what she calls “artist hair” so she might say yes to the platinum. Hmm. We’ll see. I just know I want something different.

Jen, I think platinum is going to be too much trouble. If your hair grows fast, you’re going to need weekly touch-ups. Of course, any color you choose will look good on you. You have great hair.
Happy Birthday, Kim H!

Happy Birthday, Kimh!
Hey, I say go for the hair change.
Thanks, Rhonda. Anyhting that require lots of maintenance is a bad idea for me so there goes the platinum.

Ooh, I like!

Thanks, Ginger and Kim. I do really like it. It’s mostly red with some blonde in there (which all looks kinda sparkly in the picture — must’ve been the hair goo reacting with the camera flash) — my hairdresser called it “holiday hair.”

Jen!

It looks great!

Thanks, Barbara! The DH, who usually has no opinion, wasn’t thrilled but I think he was hoping for something more traditional.
He should know by now…
