Merry Christmas to Us

Every year my mom gives us money. Well, she sends it to me and I’m supposed to Christmas shop.
I’ve made the shopping easy.

This year I’m buying an opportunity for my family to see the fabulous exhibit of China’s Terracotta Army and exhibitions loaned from the Louvre…and in February Georgia O’Keeffe and the Women of the Stieglitz Circle.

I’m renewing our family membership to Atlanta’s High Museum of Art. A year’s worth of free outings to see some of the most remarkable artwork — sounds like a bargain to me.

  2. Oh, cool. I love gifts like that–no clutter, lasts all year long. Plus, I want to see the terracotta army! I missed it when it came years ago.

I am going to go see the Pompeii exhibit in B’ham–one of the exhibit designers is taking my alumni group through in a special tour!

  3. Rhonda, Girl liked the idea when I told her this morning.

That sounds like a great trip, Kimberly. Anything “behind the scenes” is always better.

  4. Smart thinking and educational too!!! I’m giving my 14 year old niece a subscription to SEVENTEEN magazine, hopefully she will pick up some great ideas.

  5. That’s what I thought, Ginger. I told my mother and she said I shouldn’t mention it to my step-father because he would see it as a total waste of money. I guess it’s a matter of perspective.
